An indie artisan gallery, Apotheca is like stepping into a creative space that calls to the contemplative inner voice within each of us. Revolving art exhibits, unique gift items, antiques, jewelry, stunning floral bouquets and a coffee bar with delicious baked goods are just a few of the discoveries you’ll find in this former train depot in Goffstown, NH.

Owner Alyssa Van Gilder, a multi-media artist herself, shares her mantra of “acknowledge, uplift and inspire”. Now in her sixth year of business, she thrives on being an integral part of the local community. “We’ve received incredible support from the day we opened our doors.”

Van Gilder, whose unique paintings and collages can be found in the store, incorporates found objects in her work such as fabric, metal bits, and “findings” that have an inherent story to them. She and her staff also create extraordinary flower arrangements for weddings and special occasions. Based on European designs with flowing architectural lines, the arrangements incorporate lush flowers with earthly modern design elements such a rocks and moss.

“Inspiration is one of the greatest gifts you can receive from someone,” Van Gilder shares, “and it’s an honor to have people come to Apotheca, visit with others here, take ideas away, and feel a part of something special.”
